Animal welfare...in theory this concept is a good thing. It's about taking care of animals. it's about paying attention to them. But it's also, most of the time, about accepting the speciesism. And there is as much of it as there is some kind of racism on humanitarian help.this sort of colonialism which makes white people looking superior, and powerfull.

I don't want animal welfare, i don't want colonialism. I want a real and unbelievable total liberation. I want the abolition of oppressions. I want the end of exploitation. I  want the ability of self determination for every individuals in this bloody fucked planet.

Protecting is so patronising, is about keeping control. And there is no any reasons for making it acceptable. Humanity is a big amount of shit, and no justification can ever explain this hierarchical position between "species". There is no point of puting bipeds on the top of the pyramid. It's not a panther which invented nuclear bomb, not a fox which is hunting for pleasure, not a wale which is making cosmetics tested on rabbits eyes, made from dolphins or pigs fat.

So yep, animal welfare is a great tool for trying to save some of the slaves, but the basis of the problem is speciesism.

I used to live in a city where the fascist movement was a problem. There were some people which assumed to be nationalists, influenced by racists theories, acting violently against non white poeple, and against left wing folks. It was violent. It was a real problem. But at the time I have been used to, and at the end I thought that it was not a big deal.I was living with this kind of paranoia about meeting and having to fight with fascists, all the time. But I was thinking they were more sort of joke than anything else. I was looking at Russia, Poland where peoples were killed for being punks, non white, queer...what else?

So since I moved here, where there is just no any "faf" in the streets, where being antifascist is just wearing an "antifa action" t-shirt, and there is no any risk of being agressed because of it, I saw the french reality with a new regard.

But theses past weeks I had terrible news from Lyon. And hearing that peoples have been fought with metal bars when they were just two of them by a grouo of 10 fascists, just because they were going back come after a gig. hearing that a kid was starbed with cutter in the throat. hearing that peoples which are left wings are just more nervous than usual and that fascists are becoming more and more violent makes me worried. They used to attak squatt, tried to burned them when gigs or parties happened, but it is the first time since ages, that they effectively try to kill people in a direct physical agression. it si not like if they were just trying to destroy a place where peoples are inside. They know, they see exactly what they are doing. They are fucking mental.It is another level in the violence.

And what can I do? what can I say? apart trying to speak about it, making informations here. And just thinking that being antifascist in UK is a big joke. There is no way that i can think there is a real need of spending energy in this fight here. There is so many places where the facsists movemenst are reals, and are becoming stronge, and more violent. So please if you wanna be involved, be involved in real needed fights like feminism, antispeciesism, drug liberation, or do stuffs in solidarity with peoples which are living the antifascism as a need just to survive. Antifascism is not a trendy logo on your patch, it is just an obligation for being able to do something else, to live differently than normal people, to organise punks gigs, to live liberated from work or rent, to be queer, to be non white, to be just whoever you want or you are.
